Start by opening CapCut and creating a black canvas. Go to the text tool and type out all the years you want to include, selecting a bold font and enlarging the text. At the beginning of the text layer, create a keyframe and drag the text layer out of the frame at the bottom. Then, scroll to the end of the text layer, create another keyframe, and drag the text layer all the way up until 2025 is centered. Export this video and open the video you want to add the effect to. Go to Overlay, select Add Overlay, and import the clip you just created. Select the overlay and go to Mask, choosing the Mirror option. Adjust the mask so it’s small and displays only one year. Then, go to Splice, select Filter, and remove the black background. Finally, resize and reposition the overlay, and your video is ready to go.
