Quite accurate, I did follow that advise, but joints health can be a factor against lower reps, due to high weights and bad form I got tendonitis so it's a very hard balance.

every set to failure. heavy enough to get to failure within 10 to 15 reps, but light enough to keep perfect form. more reps to failure is better than bad form and heavier weight.
that's just risking injury.
