Gently thin out the gel using the e-file. 3. Use pure acetone on a cotton ball to soak the nail. Use a nail clip to keep in place. Soak for 15 minutes. 4. Use a scraper to gently remove the gel. Add more acetone and soak longer if necessary. 5. Use a cuticle bit to clean up the nail if necessary 6. Buff off gel residue with a buffing block 7.
