mine often responds to a call how he would in the field, he comes by to check in. he gets closer and makes visual contact to look for direction but ultimately keeps going 😅

my dog has that issue of not knowing where a sound came from when she has ear infections. you probably had that checked already but just in case😊

I have a dog who is half GSP and is almost 100% deaf, but she has better recall than two of her friends who can hear just fine, they just don’t listen 😂
