I kinda disagree. So much of the story already had “what will happen” tension. For me, it was refreshing to have 1 plotline with “I know how this ends but not how we get there” tension instead

"Nomad" wasn't an especially compelling character to me in Stormlight Archive, so I'm glad I read Sunlit Man first, because it got me invested in what was gonna happen to him in Wind & Truth

I completely disagree. Yes you know it is coming, but you get to see how it exactly played out. Sunlit man tees it up so you know how impactful storyline is.
