My dad used to put cedar chunks and put them in our closets as kids. Kept it smelling great and kept bugs away.

For the concrete try using liquid chlorine mixed with water in a gardening jug. Get a brush and brush it in. Let the sun hit it for like 5-10 mins and wash it off!!
