my trade building homes topped out in 2007. I'm make 30% less now in 2024 not including inflation. I've been screaming the whole time there is no labour shortage. Just an issue with low pay.

There is no shortage. Employers don't want to pay higher wages, so they pay gov't officials to push for cheap labor! There are plenty of Canadians to fill those jobs. The issue is greedy capitalists.
