I can't count but when I'm doing a stitch with multiple steps I say "duck duck goose" to know which step in the stitch I'm on. It doesn't help or make it easier but my brain won't stop "duck...duck.."

I start counting out loud when someone tries to talk to me. when I get to a multitude of 5 I tell them to remember that. then, we have conversation
