Its ok, my black cat turned brown from being sun bleached. AKA sun bathing so often and so long 😭🙏 we were so confused watching him slowly get lighter.

That's a particular fur color that is tied to thermically activated melanin on the fur. It is a lighter color where it's warmer and it gets darker on colder spots
