I bought Astro Bot last night cuz I figured if a platformer won GOTY it has to be something special. I have to say I haven’t had this much fun on a platformer since Mario 64

I just have the opinion that a game that's exclusive to one system shouldn't be nominated for game of the year. Definitely for other categories, just not that one.

People get too invested in these awards. It truly doesn't matter if your personal GOTY didn't win the award. What matters is you played a game that was good enough to be your GOTY and you had fun with it. My personal GOTY was STALKER 2 and there was no way that was getting nominated, and I don't care if others even think it's GOTY material. It's been mind-blowingly amazing for me and that's all I care about. People need to chill and focus on their positive experiences instead of steeping themselves in negativity all the damn time.
