my sobriety story: this is probably one of the most vulnerable and raw videos that i have ever posted online but the message was too important not to share. there were a few years of my life which were a lot tougher than others, during this time i used different substances (primarily alcohol) to help me cope. drinking every weekend with friends quickly turned into drinking every day by myself. i couldn’t stand being sober because deep down i hated who i was and needed an escape from my reality. i allowed alcohol to tarnish close friendships, family relationships, as well as my mental and physical health because at the time, the alcohol was in control. i never blamed alcohol for any of this because i didn’t realize that i had any kind of issue. once i started my fitness journey, i completely stopped drinking to help my physical progress in the gym. it didn’t take long for me to look back and realize that my behavior in the past was not normal, it was alcoholism. if you have been struggling with alcohol or find yourself consuming more than the average person, i urge you to seek help. even if it’s just talking to a friend or sibling, having someone in your corner aware and there to support you is so important. i’m extremely proud to say that i am almost 3 years completely sober and don’t plan on touching any kind of substance ever again, life is better lived sober. my DMs are always open if you are struggling, need a friend, or just a safe place to vent. thank you for supporting me along this journey, i’m always here supporting you along yours as well🫂💌
