This is a bad take. Colorado had a similar schedule and didn't play anyone near the caliber of Oregon. On top of that he balled out against them and he has his team in the playoffs

I just don't think the competition drop off was that large. they both played weak schedules. Boise st had a weaker schedule but you can't get much worse than the big 12 this season either.
