Today we are back and I am sharing one of my favourite videos, growing one of my favourite plants to grow. I know I say this a lot, and about a lot of crops but peppers are possibly one of my favourite crops and are actually super easy to grow at home. Now while it is still way too cold to start your pepper seeds outside especially in the UK, you can sow them and keep the seeds on a sunny windowsill, ideally by a radiator inside your home. That way they will get a bit of a head start and will be flowering and fruiting a few months earlier than if you wait until early spring. Peppers will not tolerate any frost at all, so please do not be tempted to put them outside just yet. I wait until at least April, and then still keep an eye on any late frosts. Place them in a nice warm spot in your garden with as much sunlight as possible. It is important to note that for the best results, when your peppers start to flower it’s worth giving then a by weekly feed of liquid fertiliser. I like to use liquid seaweed but you can also use home made fertiliser like I showed in the stinging nettle fertiliser video last year. From seed to harvest (depending on the weather) is usually about 3/4 months, but for many varieties they will keep fruiting all summer long. The taste is incredible and many varieties are small enough to grow on a really sunny windowsill, almost as a house plant. A great one for that is Red King! I hope you are all having a lovely week, and I love you all, Joe 😊🌱💚 #peppers #gardening #garden #Sustainability #ecotips #growyourown
