LET ME SEE YOUR GREEN ROCKS 👇 Ludlamite is a rare, semi-precious gemstone, usually found in shades of green. It's a hydrated iron phosphate (Fe,Mn,Mg)3(PO4)2·4H2O that grows complex granitic pegmatites; and sometimes polymetallic veins These conditions are found in various places around the world, however fine mineral specimens (as defined by color, crystal size, quality and aesthetics) are found only in 5 major localities, all of which are now no longer producing: 1. Cornwall England 2. Santa Eulalia, Mexico *** 3. Trepca, Kosovo 4. Blackbird, Idaho 5. Oruru + Potosi, Bolivia *** These particular lot of ludlamites are from a fairly new occurrence in Cabeça do Cachorro claim in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. This was an exciting production as many other localities are difficult to source individually, and almost impossible to source as commercial lots. It was first described in 1877 for an occurrence in Wheal Jane mine in Cornwall, England and named for English mineralogist Henry Ludlam (1824–1880). Ludlamite has a lovely green color, but cut stones are rare because they are soft (3.5 on the moh's scale, and have perfect cleavage, making them difficult to cut, or wear without damage. Metaphysically, ludlamite is a correspondence for unearthing unconscious blocks to connection, often relational traumas that are not fully processed. It can be used to become aware of unhealthy dynamics in ourselves, our families, our relationships and our societies so that they can be acknowledged and healed. We've held this lot back for several years and are now reintroducing these beautiful specimens to the market. I'll have these available on the next Virgo Live Sale this Sunday starting at 3PM MST on Instagram. They will be featured in Death Row around 8/8:30PM MST and available for
