I guess I’m lost at how Elriel would be out of left field though… I’ve read and listened to the books multiple times. Their interactions and things said by other characters seem to be foreshadowing a relationship between the two. Feyre questioning why they wouldn’t be mates, Azriel lending her truthteller and wanting to save her, the interactions in general.

I heard that apparently all these companies that have discussed acotar this year are all owned by the same parent company like sjm could potentially a contract or exclusive with them. Like the today..

I’m starting to believe that it might be a PR thing. That BB and SJM wants to get as many readers (casual and big fans) on the “right” side before the announcement/release of the book.
