In sparking zero my first play through as trunks I had him stay in the present after Goku black saga and I’m not gonna spoil it but he turned the tables for universe 7 it has some of best scenesngame

The only issue with him staying in the present is present trunks wouldn’t be his own person. He would possibly be influenced by future trunk personality.
