I have been following Lauren since before she even wrote Powerless and she’s always pitched it as a mix between Red Queen and The Hunger Games. I’m astounded her own audience doesn’t even know this?

Not saying this is Lauren’s fault, but I really think she should come out and remind people that her book was inspired by Red Queen, I know she pitched it as Red Queen + Hunger Games, but it seems people need a reminder. Personally had to DNF Powerless, but I actually would love to read Red Queen at this point.

powerless reads like a bad fanfic of red queen except i couldn’t choke down more than one book of powerless (painful) and i smashed through the entire red queen series in a week.
