To be fair, it's not about how binding the contract is, it's the willingness of the people to compromise. I didn't see anything in the video about how the contract was fluid due to nationality

Honest mistakes aren’t contractually binding in the US either

Making contracts not legally binding actually tends to make people far more understanding and fair. People are more open to compromise and mutual decisions when they can't coerce each other

The contracts are as binding. What you're describing is building a business relationship which the US is infamous for undervaluing compared to other countries.

I mean as far as I know the same is applied to the german legal system. if such mistake is discovered in the contract by the seller, it could be challenged. and the original agreement is void.

In contracts law, I think this would be considered a mistake. Both parties agreed to the one price but a typo/mistake in the contract caused an error.

It is the same. The seller is agreeing to price in the contract. It is you the buyer that would rather pay for the correct price. No one is breaching the contract. This happen more frequently 1/2

This is so also why you rarely see contractual disputes amongst big companies in China (because most of them are state owned anyways) but major problems with overseas clients

An agreement is an agreement, even if there’s a mistake in the contract, both should respect what was discussed. This should be the same for every part of the world
