Join your local lineman union. I have yet to meet a single dude in this career field making less than $100k, even the apprentices. I’d say less physical than oilfield as well.

What position starts at 100k? I’ve been in the oilfield for 12 years and I’ve never seen an entry level position start at 100k. 70-75 is more accurate. Still good money but not 100k.

I run Boiler in the oilfield. I work from November - March usually and can gross in between 80-90,000 per year. Roughnecks on a drilling rig are making $42/hr starting wage now. It’s crazy!

Most people I work with took a 5 week class for our certification and our starting pay Is 103k a year. Work way less hours per year than oil field guys and I sit at a desk watching Netflix and stuff.
