@jordinarylife: What’s going on? Sara’s transition from carnivore to animal-based hasn’t been as smooth as we hoped, and we’re seriously questioning if it’s worth it. For context, we both stuck to the carnivore diet for 45 days, and Sara was thriving. 3kgs down, glowing skin, and feeling amazing. But she wanted to switch to animal-based (think fruit, berries, avocado, and some veggies) to enjoy the holidays. Fair enough, right? The problem? It’s been rough. Upset stomach, and now something more concerning: head spins every time she stands up. Here’s the kicker! we realised this stopped while she was on carnivore, and now it’s back. Could this really be food related? So, experts, what’s going on? Is the switch to animal-based worth these symptoms? We’re curious if anyone else has had a similar experience. Drop your thoughts in the comments! #carnivore #carnivorediet #animalbased #healthyliving

Oh she might have POTS. And the lack of histamines in the food on the carnivore diet meant she was fine. Histamines are vaso-dilators aka make vessels larger and so blood can rush more easily and make you feel like you’ll faint.

What happens if you’ve been eating carnivore diet, and you stop for 1 week before going back to the diet again?

I have the same issue. But I’ve found that on days when I drink water with electrolytes I don’t get the dizzy spells.

Did she have these symptoms before going carnivore? I feel like we need the full picture to understand. 😁

I had the same! It’s the high sugar fruit & honey, must have low sugar fruit, berries ect, no honey, no head rush!

Hope you feel better soon! My thoughts: when we move to carnivore our gut microbiome changes. We we reintroduce foods we have to rebuild certain strains that have reduced or are eliminated. P1/2

Do animal based, but ensure that all fruit/honey/dates are secondary while focusing on protein/fat FIRST. See if that helps. I have a feeling it will.

I had this too when I was on animal based. Felt tired and dizzy almost all the time. Switched back to my normal diet and it went away and I felt SO much better, weirdly!

Likely histamine reaction. I did Carnivore for 30 days and found out the hard way you have to slowly reintroduce food. Plus I now take digestive enzymes

Honestly, it could just be as simple as blood sugar. On carnivore, your blood sugar is stable and balanced. Animal based could cause big swings. Big servings of fruit/honey w/o much protein or fat

It could be a lack of salt, even on the carnivore diet where we ingest a lot of salt through meat it is still not enough, drink water with salt.
