Everyone hating on the smell is crazy to me ! As a French girly the smell of raclette is so mild even pleasant when we have other cheeses that are a 1000 times more pungent

Raclette is the only cheese I’ve ever disliked. It smells disgusting which i didn’t think anything of bc the stinkier the better but the taste is FOUL

There is a raclette stand that is at ALL the Chicago street fests…. in August it ruins the whole damn thing.

Swiss bestie here! Raclette in the U.S. is not great lol. Try getting it from a cheese shop. The top needs to be bubbling before you scrape it over potatoes. Then season as you like! Should be melty!
