Parents are getting older and much harder to travel. How many Christmas' will you still have with them. In this scenario, I don't agree with this Let them theory.

I love let them theory but in this circumstance, if you have elderly parents and it’s stressful for them to travel then I think this should be an exception.

I think in this situation the Let Them is a little harsh. I'm not sure how old your parents are, but if you only have maybe 5 Christmas's left maybe we just be a little more accomidating.

What I wouldn’t give to see my father one more time during Christmas. Travel to see your aging parents. Unless they were truly abusive & awful, put in the effort to see them. They deserve your time.

It’s not my job to manage another adult’s emotions. But my parents don’t fall into the category of “just another adult”. They are older, travel is stressful and I won’t have them forever. I go to them
