@abc7chicago: Two people were injured after an explosion at Seymour paint company Monday morning, Sycamore police said. The explosion occurred at about 8:34 a.m. at the paint company in the 900-block of Crosby Avenue. "Report of flames and foam being discharged over the affected area of the building," Sycamore Fire Chief Bart Gilmore said. "The report was that there was a paint can that exploded. We don't know if it was dropped or if it was part of another system that they had going. Initial crews came in, met some fire. The foam suppression system was not meeting the need. The sprinkler system needed to be assisted by fire engines." Chief Gilmore said they are still investigating the cause of the explosion.
