@fosterlove: How do we support kids who age out of foster care? A lot of youth aging out of the foster care system face huge challenges… and often, they don’t have much more than the clothes on their backs. That’s where we come in. One of the ways we help is through our Self-Esteem Building Shopping Sprees, where we take foster youth shopping for brand-new clothes that reflect their own personal style. For many of them, it’s the first time they get to pick out something new… something that’s just theirs 🥹 It’s a small but meaningful way to boost their confidence and remind them they deserve the best as they head into the real world! But this isn’t the only thing we do! We provide a wide range of support for foster youth, especially around the holidays.
