Because results come quicker this way, it’s way more motivating!  If I had just started with a full-on diversified weekly workout split, there is no guarantee I would have stuck with it long enough to get good results. The slow rate of progress might have discouraged me. Because my physical development has been characterized by ERAS… the cardio era in the beginning… the squat era when I first entered the gym… the era in which I did daily arm curls every day before work… the era I decided “Let’s just get a wicked core” and started doing leg raises every day… the era when gyms closed and I did dips on a chainlink fence everyday… I always had success because I was never spread thin.  My efforts were always CONCENTRATED… and so they yielded real tangible results! I only adopted a full-on workout split in the last 3 years after 5 years of spending “one on one time” forcing growth and development in individual aspects of my physique. Even if you only see growth in a few areas, this is far more motivating than seeing just a little growth in all areas… because those gains encourage you… they make you believe growth in any area is possible!
