hate the immediate eligibility rule. if that didn't exist, they could transfer in the spring and this wouldn't be an issue. it would also reduce the player count by 95%.

Delete conf champ weekend, have army navy on that weekend, and move all the bowl games and playoffs back a week. Also, teams do not need 10 days off, just have the playoffs be each weekend.

People don’t understand these players gotta enroll by the start of next semester fr. If you are transferring it’s way better as a mid year than it is end of year

Superficially, I get it. But players have 5 days after the last game played to enter the portal. For most schools, enrollment cutoff is ~10 days after the semester starts.

There are so many changes that need to happen. But I don’t hear too many people suggesting moving the season to a Spring sport. Seems like the closest solution. Still won’t solve everything.

Portal can easily be done in Jan...regular students are adding/dropping classes like crazy the first 2 weeks of classes anyway...lets not pretend like academics is the priority for these transfers

The portal window should be extended to close specifically a certain number of days after your team’s final game. That way, players get a fair shot to transfer without opting out of the postseason
