It truly is about prioritizing it, I allow myself tiktok time for engaging with the broader booktok community and some personal time because I enjoy the platform! But I don't doomscroll and my TV is for my guest, I'd rather watch movies in my head lol. This isn't hard to do but the constraint is money, my card isn't exactly happy with me. I know you guys are gonna ask what I do for work so to answer all at once, I work in finance (FP&A). Common Questions: Why? - Like I said in the video, I love the growth I've gained in understanding books better by consuming more and at the rate I was previously reading I would have my library at 54 yrs old. I wanted it sooner and now I'll have it mid to late 30s.

I pick up another book before the feeling even sets in. "Does comprehension dip?" - No but the way my mind holds stories has changed. When I was reading 2-3 it felt like I always had a bridge to the story and all its details. Now it feels like a bunch of broken bridges in my head, pieces of stories flying around; but the moment I start to hone in on one book it's like the bridge snaps into place for that story and it all rushes back. "I prefer to take my books slow, do you even enjoy it?" - If this is you we don't have to argue preferences but I do have an analogy. In this analogy books = vacation and funds = reading speed. I went to Bali for 3 days, and you went for 2 weeks. We both enjoyed Bali but you got to see more than me. But while you were in Bali. I went to Hawaii, NYC, Japan, and stopped by the Maldives and if I want to go back to Bali I can because I have the "funds" to go back to it and enjoy more places. There are too many stories to explore and so little time! 😭 #BookTok #booktoker #reading
