My son didn’t like it at first. He is in the army and he’s thriving. He will retire from there at some point. He’s done a lot of traveling and met a lot of people.

My ex is retired and went in to get out of B’More. He is closer to his military brothers than his bio family! I couldn’t do it but I have the most respect for those that do! 💙

Told many a person it should be required. The growth you see in young men & women that come in & have to stand on their own, is awesome to see

Navy saved my husband. He only had the white t-shirt, jeans, and hand-me-down shoes the day he went to boot camp. He broke the cycle of liquor, violence, and living off the government cheese.

I feel the experience helped me define my life. It wasn't always great but I am always proud of myself for making such an adult decision.

I think like many professions, they are what you make them. If people choose to not find the good in their life, chances are they won’t find much to like. & typically it’s always everyone else’s fault

Not a military family but wish my nephew could join. He has a seasonal part time job & is living at home. Might have a driver’s license by the end of the year.

❤️❤️❤️it provided us a good life, and while some days sucked, it was worth it overall. The retired side is a wild ride, but so wonderful too.
