@keepingitrealwithreggie: $20/Hour for Fast Food Workers: Fair Pay or Economic Disaster 😱 Hey everyone, today we’re diving into a hot-button issue: should fast food workers in California earn a minimum wage of $20 per hour? On one hand, it seems fair. These workers, often the backbone of our communities, deserve a decent living wage. They work hard, sometimes in grueling conditions, and their contributions to the economy are undeniable. But here’s the rub: many skilled labor jobs, like construction, plumbing, and electrical work, often pay less than $20 per hour. Does it make sense for someone flipping burgers to earn more than someone wiring a house? This raises some serious questions: Economic Impact: Will businesses be forced to raise prices, leading to inflation? Job Market: Could this lead to job losses, especially for entry-level workers? Government Intervention: Should the government dictate wages, or should the market determine fair compensation? Let’s explore the pros and cons and hear from experts on both sides of the debate. What do you think? Is a $20 minimum wage for fast food workers a good idea, or is it a step too far? A fast food worker shouldn't make less than a LIVING WAGE, just because another industry pays less than a LIVING WAGE. If your job doesn't allow you to pay your bills then your boss isn't earning enough to run a proper company and they should close and go get a job themselves
