My family is a blended family and my dad has 4 kids and step mum has 2 kids and ages from 33 to 23 and they still say here's a gift from Santa even tho we know Santa isn't real. only because we have grandchildren from 8 to 2 years old.

My rule is nothing too expensive comes from Santa. We always get one “big” gift (mainly the most expensive one) and then a couple of things $20US under is from Santa. Growing up I’d get expensive stuff from Santa, and my friends would get hats and gloves cause their families didn’t have the means, and I would feel guilty regardless of being told it. I can honestly say, as a kid, I NEVER tracked what came from Santa and what came from my parents. It never mattered or even came up when talking to my friends.

we do it the same way. Santa brings 1 gift (usually something you really wanted asked for if it's within a realistic realm, no iPads or gamers) and Santa always brings 1 gift for the family as a whole
