I‘m German and as a hunters kid also „grew up around guns“. Meaning: My dad told me about safety rules and to immediately tell him if so did‘t handle a gun safely and to stay away from the guns myself

Exactly this. The gun culture in the US is something else. Guns should be respected, not glorified but I doubt anything will change.

my dad was a police officer in Bavaria. I was never allowed to watch thrillers, play with pistols as a cowboy in Fasching. he allows told me weapons are bad

The process for gun ownership in Canada- training, expectations, restrictions ,etc.-seems to be very similar to that in Germany.

I have a couple friends in 🇩🇪that hunt. They’d be in trouble if they get the weapon stole. They need to transport ammo and the weapon separate (gun in the trunk/ ammo in the car)
