My ex would take everything I brought up as conflict, no matter how calm I said He didn’t yell so I didn’t realize it was abuse. He treated me like shit but I thought it was just him being “rational.”

This is the argument we always get in, I bring something up and I ask him to have a conversation now and not be defensive or dismissive. Still a work in progress but getting better

I get loud when I try to talk about my feelings and they invalidate them and give all of their opinions of how I’m wrong and I just break down because nothing I say is ever true to them
