Technically, heat pumps aren’t >100% efficient, they’re just dual energy source appliances with <100% efficiency (loss to noise and kinetic). It just so happens, you don’t pay for one of the sources.

well yes if you consider their main purpouse as a space heaters then they are very wastefull but if you see that you do things anyway and additionally now they also heat up your house then it's better

Yes Heat Pumps have more than 100% Efficiency. But for people who don’t have a heat pump, like me. The heaters run at 100% and my PC too 😅

mjah got a heatpump myself but sometimes also need a bit of extra heat when its -4f out so i run my servers a bit more get dual usage of it sure not efficient but more efficient that just a heater

terribly inefficient only if you look at everything as a heater. a computer during winter uses electricity way more efficiently cause it not only completes its main task but also heats up the room
