@techmakesart: Such an odd filament issue. Pulling out of the middle but its a pretty tightly wound spool. I was thinking maybe it melted from the dryer at some point, but it seems like a safe temp. Hopefully it finishes! #TechMakesArt #3dprinting #filamentissues #filament

I had this happen too. only happened for a roll it's like they are stuck to each other almost like it was too hot spooling and melted a little together

I actually just had this happen with a roll of PLA plus I dried it, and I think it may have gotten a little too hot, especially down toward the center of the spool and it fused about halfway through

It’s not a tangle? I’ve had rolls that were wound sloppy and wound over previous winds in a way that made it loop on itself.

Does look like when I fused a spool of filament together by running my dryer too hot!

Simple logic and phisycs. Your drier is to hot and the friction its melting it

I had a roll of filament delivered with a similar issue. It seemed like it got a little too hot on the spool and the stands semi fused to one another

Your dryer is turned up too high. I had this happen multiple times finally realized the preset on the dryer was too high of a temperature and it was melting the filament.

Happens when you over heat the spool with the dryer.

definitely verify your dryer temperatures. Either dryer too hot, manufacturing error, or something got on the filament at some point causing it to stick.
