So basically, we can't see it, but we know it's there because of how things near it are affected? 🤔

We don’t know what dark matter is but we know what it’s not. We know it has a gravitional pull that affects things around it. Imagine a tree blowing in the wind, we can see that something is moving it

another evaluation is the gravitational lensing caused by “dark matter”. Light bending where there’s no visible matter. That or space is just really curvy and textured.

so.. dark matter is kind of what fills the gaps between everything else, but we can't see it or interact with it, we can only see the shapes around it?

He may never discover these secrets of the universe, but if anyone does, it’ll be because of a passionate mentor like Dr. Cox

I love the way he explains things. He sais it in a way that allows people to understand. If we had people who could explain this half as good, we wouldn't have flat earthers.

Brian Cox might be the smartest individual not just because he’s brilliant, but because he can explain it to people who aren’t.

It’s so difficult for people to say ‘I don’t know’. A nationally-known professor happily says ‘I don’t know’ - yet ask some Brexit voter about EU fiscal policy and he’d rather die than admit ignorance

The fabric of space isn’t flat. Dark Matter and Dark Energy make it “wrinkly” like tall mountains and low canyons. Dark matter is the canyons where matter collects that creates galaxies, stars, etc…
