Just a reminder that Jul was a peagent holidays for most Scandinavian and Icelandic, Greenlandic, Jul is much older than Christianity and is extremely similar to Christmas, so rather celebrate Jul

Like the rest of the Nordics, we all (at least 97%😅) celebrate jul as a historical and traditional feast, with little to no christianity, although some traditions are a mix.

i grew up with a christian dad and a jewish mom. we celebrated christmas & hanukkah together. not because of religious reasons, but bc of the fact we saw it as a gathering with family and friends 1/2

Well.. in Finland Christmas = Yule. Like in the other Nordic countries. Father Christmas / Santa Claus = joulupukki as in yule goat. Yuletide goes back thousands of years, mid-winter festive.

Alot of the scandinavian traditions for Christmas ( Jul) is pagan ! I left the church last year also ! 🌺❤️🌺 Swedish and Danish here ❤️
