even though you're in for a big expense I would say pressure wash the roof clean it good membrane and cool coat the area put a strip of metal coil over the wood and then seal it with membrane cool coa

I don’t think I heard anything about slope- minimum slope requirement for a metal roof: 1/4 in vertical per foot. So if 12 ft wide the peak should be at least 3 in tall. You’re doing great!

or you can cut a 3in PVC tube in half and create a canel underneath what's existing, I could draw it up and show you a cheaper design with a little flashing to move the water into the canel 😁😁✌️✌️

Overbuilt is NEVER a problem! You're doing great! Maybe support that eve, then box it in for more storage and better home insulation and protection...?

Also fasten your rafters down to the container with fairly heavy L brackets Facia trim and Gable end trim, also help keep wind from getting under it?

The roof can be shallow, so long as there’s enough fall on the roof to avoid pooling

okay you could use 2x4s for your rafters since they're be so close to the roof of the container you can block it up save money for the fur and strips but the metal screws too you can use one by fours
