The 8.1 Vortec Is Already Beast Of A Workhorse Out Of The Factory, Damn Near Bullet Proof, I Believe Any Upgrades, Performance Parts, and Turbos Would Only Bring Out It's Hidden Monster it Holds Within. I Drive A 2002 Chevy Silverado 3500 with the 8.1L Vortec paired with the early Allison 1000 Transmission, it's a complete WORKHORSE! If I didn't need to haul weight or trailers, I'd totally change the rear end, and get some performance parts for my 8.1!
