The whole point of opening them 1st thing in the morning is to give kids all day to play with their new toys!! And it gives parents the chance for a more chill rest of the day.

Absolutely not! My kids waking us up for presents is the best. Presents, breakfast, nap, Chinese food delivered, christmas movies. We don't leave lol.

We wake up super early put Christmas music on, get our coffee, put a fire on and open gifts. Then eat breakfast, get ready, and have company over for Christmas dinner🎄

This is why we celebrate Christmas Eve with my Italian family. You open presents from the extended family during dessert/ coffee at night. Then you go to bed, Santa comes! And you wake up and open ..

Nooooo get up have coffee! We Make Cinnabons and then open the gifts with Christmas music. Then we have the morning in pjs and start cooking Christmas Day dinner with the family play games at dinner..

This is exactly how I grew up doing Christmas. We would open stockings and then do breakfast. Presents under the tree were no touched until at least 3pm.
