This salt and pepper tofu airfry is restaraunt quality and easy as heck to make. Here we go! 1 lb firm or extra firm tofu drained and pat dry 1 egg 1 cup cornstarch plus 2 tbsp 5 cloves garlic chopped 1 jalapeno, seeds removed,chpped 3 scallions chopped SEASON MIX 1 tsp kosher salt 1 tsp white pepper 1/2 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp chicken bullion powder Remove the tofu block from the package. Drain, and pat dry. Cut into 2” cubes. Bring a pot of water to boil and season with a tablespoon of kosher salt. Add the tofu cubes into boiling water. Blanch for 5 minutes then drain. Pat the cubes dry. In a separate bowl, add the blanched tofu cubes and season with salt and pepper, and about 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Beat 1 egg then pour the egg mixture onto the tofu, making sure to cover every piece. On a separate plate, pour about 1 cup of cornstarch, then fully coat each tofu cube, being sure to get all sides. Airfry the tofu cubes at 375 for 10-15 minutes (each air fryer is different), until golden brown. Give them a flip and air fry for another 2-5 minutes, until crisp to your liking.  In a separate pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and over medium high heat saute your garlic and scallions for about 30 seconds. Then add your jalapenos and saute for another minute. Add the air fried tofu cubes, along with the season mix making sure to toss and coat well.
