I printed out the DSM 5 criteria for ADHD, highlighted every symptom I had, presented it to my dr. she glanced at it and said "yep sounds like you have ADHD" then proceed to ask about something else

It IS valid socially, but I did need documentation for accommodations and that’s when I sought out the official diagnosis.

As an adult, depending on your support needs, the only thing an autism diagnosis gets you in the UK is a DNR.

I hate when people say there are no accommodations. Yes there is! I have a therapist who specializes in autism and is able to help give me connections, but it’s my job to like actually go and use them

There is some help but we can’t get any without a diagnosis. I went and got tested. The dr told when going over my results that I had “mild autism “and adhd. I go to try and get my cadi waiver to help
