things acne LOVES!!😍 ⬇️MORE INFO⬇️ ❌ BREAKFAST Eating breakfast is SO important for your hormonal health (especially as a woman), as it helps to regulate both blood sugar & cortisol levels - both of which are involved in inflammation! Aim to eat a big breakfast within 30/60 minutes of waking up! 🧴 EXFOLATION We should only be exfoliating our skin 3x a week, or you risk damaging your skin barrier & more breakouts. Skin barrier health is SO important for preventing & treating breakouts. (Your skin barrier stops bad bacteria getting into your skin). 💤 SLEEP Sleep is the most important thing to help relieve inflammation (don’t forget acne is an inflammatory condition). If you are waking up earlier, try to go to sleep as early as you can too! And to help with sleep hygiene, try to wake up & go to sleep around the same time! 🧴 MOISTURISER it is the biggest misconception that moisturisers & SPF cause acne. Find a non-comedogenic moisturiser for your skin type & stick to it! Or you risk damaging your skin barrier, causing more inflammation & breakouts. 💄 COMEDOGENIC PRODUCTS Switch to non comedogenic skincare/makeup. People with acne-prone skin usually have “hyper retention keratosis” (pores are extra prone to getting clogged), so it’s super helpful to avoid cloggers. I ONLY share non-comedogenic skincare & makeup on my platforms! 🫧 CLEANSING You must cleanse for 60 seconds with each of your cleansers. Otherwise you risk your skin not being fully clean, and putting serums/toners on top of unclean skin is a recipe for breakouts! 🛌 SKINCARE BEFORE BED
your skincare needs time to sink in to your skin, do it a couple of hours before bed, I prefer to do it right after dinner when I brush my teeth.
🚶‍♀️ MOVEMENT AFTER EATING Try to take a short (10 minute) walk after eating to promote stable blood sugar regulation, this also supports digestion! There are acne healing guides in my b¡0 for those of you who need some extra support with your skin💗 •
