speaking from some experience when i say most insurances do not pay out unless there is a lawsuit. it reaches a point where it's nothing personal, but if you want any aid you have to go legal.

I can definitely say that the 5k did not cover the wheelchair. My friend has a similar one like bird and it costed 25k (insurance covered it but idk how insurance works in other places)

just earlier this year to make wheelchair ramps for my newly disabled father (lower leg amputation) it cost us 500 dollars JUST for the wood. i’m so rooting for it it’s rough out here being disabled

as a wheelchair user, this is so important. my first wheelchair got destroyed at a PUP show because people were smashing me into the barricade. my wheel bent 90° ! and no one took any responsibility.
