Former parrot owner and I agree. They live so long that it is very difficult that they can stay with 1 family forever where their needs are met forever. They should not be sold as pets.

I had a parrot for approximately 18 years (it was already part of my family when I was born). It was the most beautiful, pure, and crazy being I ever knew... They certainly aren't meant to be domesticated, but this one was too brutish for anything more than his home; his greatest strength was shouting my name for attention.
