I eat alone often. nothing worse than being treated like you somehow are a nuisance to the restaurant.

Forget downtown, go north 20 minutes and try Hideaway steak house. absolutely amazing

When I see this happen (half empty restaurant but a long wait) I always assume they do not have the staff to cover all the tables. Seems to be a problem, in my area anyway, since pandemic.🤷🏼♀️

A family memeber manages a restaurant near us. Normally when they don’t seat someone at the tables like that, it’s because they don’t have enough waiter staff to serve them.

As the owner of a restaurant, I promise you, if we are short-staffed, I would still allow you to sit at a table but would inform you we are short-staffed and your wait may be longer OR you can sit at

I typically like sitting at the bar but I’d be miffed about only being able to order from the bar menu especially given that half the restaurant was empty. Love an honest review!
