I know that this kid feels awful about all this but he obviously had reasons for wanting to stay w his father. I hope the mom got the help she needed in terms of mental health and hopefully tries to rebuild a relationship with her son on a more grounded level. hope this kid is doing ok.

I lived thru this exact situation and except my mom got me committed to a long term psyc ward for six month for trying to kill myself bc I couldn’t get out of that house. She checked me into that hospital and never came back. My dad picked me up and I went to live with him
