@dr.vegan: Apple doughnuts Ingredients 2 apples 250g puff pastry 1 tsp cinnamon powder 1 tbsp powdered sugar Juice of 1/2 lemon 1/2 cup vegan chocolate bar 1/4 cup soy milk 4 tbsp soy milk 1 tbsp maple/agave syrup 1/2 cup roasted hazel nuts Method: Peel and cut the apples into 2 cm thick slices. Remove the central part with the seeds and season them with sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Cut the puff pastry into long strips and wrap them around the apple slices. Mix the milk with maple syrup and brush on top of the donuts. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 180C/350F for 20 mins. In the meantime, melt the chocolate in a pot on low heat. Dip the donuts into the chocolate and top with roasted hazelnuts.
