To an extent yes, but you’re never going to gain the full benefits of your sessions until you take your recovery seriously. Going hard everyday is more than likely going to make you feel fatigued, fall out of love with your training and may even result in injury. To maximise recovery: - Make sure you’re taking days off or including easy days (active recovery) into your week. - Include a cool down after exercise. Or if you forget, go for a walk a few hours after your session. - Ensure you’re getting 7-9 hours sleep per night. - Eat a varied, high protein diet full of fruit and vegetables. Make sure you’re having healthy fats and adequate carbohydrates to restore glycogen stores. - Naps are good as long as they don’t affect your nights sleep. Naps are especially effective if you’re training twice a day. - For endurance sports/multi day events: ice baths and cherry active can be used to reduce inflammation and reduce DOMS. - Don’t delay your post workout meal and ensure it has a good amount of protein in (25-40g) Take the easy days EASY so you can take the hard days HARD. #mindset #athleterecovery #restdays #Fitness #fyp
