@sophymed: Christmas tree-shaped cherry bun❄️🍒 Ingredients: 320 ml warm milk 60g sugar 8g dry yeast 1 egg (room temperature) 60g melted butter (NOT hot) 550g all purpose flour In a big bowl mix together warm milk, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Add one medium egg room temperature and melted butter (make sure it’s not hot bc yeast could die & your dough wouldn’t rise), mix well with a spoon. Knead the dough by folding it into a ball. Add some more flour if it’s way too sticky. The dough should be sticky a little but not very liquid. Let it proof for 1 hour in a warm place. For the cherry filling: Boil 300g frozen cherries with 2 tbs sugar and 100ml water for 15-20 minutes. The texture should be jam-like and the water should mostly evaporate. If it’s too liquid add 1 tbs starch (1 tbs starch mix with a 2 tbs water and then add to cherries to there are no starch clumps). Divide the dough into halves. Roll one half into a circle and add your filling. Roll another half and cover with it the first one. Cut the form of a tree like I showed in the video and then cut into small lines creating “branches” of a tree. Sprinkle with beaten egg and bake in the preheated to 180C oven 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking but it’s optional. #christmasrecipe #christmasbaking #christmastok #bakingrecipe #christmasbakingideas #winterbaking
