Please watch this BEFORE consuming Mimosa tree! ⚠️ Sorry to pull the whole “read the caption” thing for this one, but there is so much important information to cover on this subject that I am not able to fit it into the short video format. I still remember in 2018 when I tried this herb for the very first time. My friends and I found the trees quite easily, harvested the bark and made decoctions. There were four of us, and of that, two, including myself, experienced the side effects described in the video. After that, I searched high and low for articles that mentioned this, but couldn’t find any… at least none in English! For years now, I’ve thought that surely someone would cover this, but despite many articles and videos being made about this plant, it continued to not come up. Though I’m usually the person debunking wild species toxicity claims, I now find myself on the opposite side of the fence. I just feel like someone has to say this! Especially with the nature of the use of this herb, I think it can potentially create a dangerous situation to claim there are no precautions needed (other than pregnancy, of course). That’s why I’m making this video. After years of testing and experimentation, I finally felt confident presenting this information to you. I don’t want to spread fear here! I just want you to approach Albizia with caution if it is your first time consuming it. And let me know what your experience has been in the comment section! If you have consumed this plant without issue, there is likely nothing to worry about. (not medical advice) I do have a longer video covering the connection to TCM, the concept of “copy-and-paste” herbalism, and preparations that at least caused me less irritation on my YT channel if you are interested. #albizia #mimosatree #foraging #herbs
